Exploring The You Nobody Sees | Workbook
This guided workbook was created and developed in collaboration with the NHS. Specifically designed to support young people in NHS care.
It has been thoughtfully created to provide a structured yet engaging way for children to better understand themselves, build confidence, and explore their identity in a safe and supportive way.
Available in two versions (ages 7+ and 10+), the content remains consistent, with the younger version adapted for easier readability and accessibility.
Packed with fun activities, prompts, and challenges, it guides children through:
Discovering their strengths
Understanding and managing emotions
Letting go of shame
Exploring interests and hobbies
Building resilience and learning from failure
Practising self-care and celebrating themselves
This workbook is also highly suited for schools, youth groups, and home environments & anywhere young people would benefit from building confidence, self-awareness, and emotional understanding.
(7+ 109 pages)
(10+ 125 pages)For a more in-depth look:
Through a series of interactive activities, prompts, and challenges, this workbook encourages young people to explore who they are, rather than feeling pressure to fit in or follow others. It introduces key concepts such as understanding personal strengths, what they are, how to recognise them, and how to use them in everyday life.
The workbook also gently explores more complex emotional themes, including shame and anger, helping young people recognise it and learn how not to let it define or control them. It provides tools for identifying, understanding, and managing emotions, alongside practical coping strategies.
In addition, it supports children in discovering their interests and hobbies, encouraging experimentation, curiosity, and self-expression. It also introduces important life skills such as learning to navigate failure, building resilience, and celebrating personal achievements. The final sections focus on self-care, helping young people develop healthy habits and a positive relationship with themselves.
While this workbook is not a replacement for professional support, it serves as a meaningful, guided resource that can be used independently or alongside a parent, caregiver, or educator.
